Objective Area Solutions Advances Aviation Digitalization Networks at ICAO 2025 Innovation Fair
September 29, 2025
Objective Area Solutions (OAS), a leading provider of aviation management and technology solutions, proudly participated in the ICAO 2025 Innovation Fair, held September 21–22 in Montreal, Canada. The event, themed “Global Horizons: Inclusive Innovations for Aviation,” convened industry leaders, government representatives, and innovators to advance the future of aviation.
OAS’s participation, led by CEO, J.J. Stakem, and Principal for Research and Intelligence, Scott Simon, engaged with global stakeholders and demonstrated the company’s commitment to driving digital transformation in aviation. The Innovation Fair featured panels and technology demonstrations focused on decarbonization, global policy development, and the role of digitalization in achieving ICAO’s strategic objectives.
Advancing Digitalization in Aviation
OAS highlighted its expertise in digitalization, particularly through its work on projects such as the Air Traffic Safety Oversight Service (AOV) Credentialing Database. This Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) project supports the secure, efficient management of air traffic control credentials and regulatory compliance. The AOV Credentialing Database is a cornerstone for modernizing credential data, supporting users within the FAA, Department of War, and National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. OAS’s solution to the FAA AOV project integrates advanced database management, system architecture planning, and regulatory policy development, ensuring robust support for current and future aviation needs
Integrating Proven Performance Providing Digital Transformation Solutions for the Aviation Industry
Building on its leadership in advancing digitalization for the aviation sector, Objective Area Solutions (OAS) is recognized for pioneering projects that transform how credential management, cybersecurity, and training are delivered across global aviation networks. By leveraging innovative technologies and integrating best practices in system architecture and regulatory compliance, OAS demonstrates its expertise through a series of impactful initiatives that drive operational excellence and support the evolving needs of the industry. Other relevant ongoing projects include:
Operational Readiness and Training Excellence:
OAS delivers integrated digital training platforms for military air traffic control officers, that align civil and military standards to ensure seamless interoperability across the National Airspace System (NAS). Beyond traditional instruction, OAS leads the design and execution of high-impact tabletop exercises (TTXs) for the US Government civil and military defense and cybersecurity organizations, simulating complex scenarios to strengthen interagency coordination, emergency response, and cybersecurity resilience.
Cybersecurity Compliance and System Sustainment:
OAS partners with the clients to provide cybersecurity compliance across civil and military organizations. OAS aligns systems with NIST, FISMA, and other government requirements; develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP); execute continuous monitoring; conduct security control assessments; manage POA&Ms; and deliver hardening recommendations to sustain ATOs across the portfolio.
Global Engagement and Collaboration
During the Innovation Fair, OAS engaged with key industry partners and international aviation authorities— discussing collaboration for digital certification, safety oversight, data fusion, and other technical expertise for digital transformation in aviation. OAS will continue to pursue partnerships that allow it to deliver solutions for advancing digital ATC certification credentialing and to support aviation authorities worldwide.
