Objective Area Solutions' Scholarship Supporting the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals

Each year Objective Area Solutions, LLC supports one graduate student at the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University through the Objective Area Solutions Scholarship Endowment for Aviation and Policy.  This endowment provides scholarships to graduate students interested in innovating and shaping aerospace policy, focusing in areas such as emerging technology, infrastructure innovation, and sustainability.

The goal of this scholarship is to promote student education across important domains to develop understanding of public policy, technology development and implementation, and economic considerations for aerospace. Recognizing the complexity of these topics in the aerospace industry, recipients of this scholarship are highly encouraged to pursue limited courses in the Volgenau School of Engineering and/or the School of Business.  Additionally, this scholarship recognizes the value of diversity in the aerospace industry and is purposefully designed for students that are historically underrepresented in the industry.

The OAS Team is proud to spotlight our current scholarship recipient, Taylor Garcia.  Ms. Garcia is currently enrolled in the Master of International Security program and is also working, while a full-time graduate student, at Velos Space and Defense as a Government Relations Fellow.  As if that isn’t enough, she is on the GMU Varsity Women’s Tennis Team, has been a two-time Singles All-American, and has been nationally ranked as high as #15 in singles and #19 in doubles.

Objective Area Solutions is proud to support the next generation of aerospace professionals by contributing to the academic advancement of Taylor Garcia and other professionals like her.  For more information about the Objective Area Solutions Scholarship for Aviation and Policy, visit: https://schar.gmu.edu/objective-area-solutions-scholarship-aviation-and-policy
