General (Ret.) Glen VanHerck Joins Objective Area Solutions Board of Advisors
Arlington, VA — March 13, 2026 — Objective Area Solutions, LLC (OAS) announces the addition of General (Ret.) Glen VanHerck to its Board of Advisors. His arrival strengthens OAS’ mission-driven focus on advancing aviation infrastructure where civil, defense, and security priorities converge.
OAS supports the modernization and resilience of aviation infrastructure to enable safe, reliable operations across the National Airspace System and mission-critical environments. Bridging stakeholders and requirements spanning civil aviation, homeland defense, and national security operations is an OAS focus area

General VanHerck served nearly 37 years on active duty in the United States Air Force, culminating as Commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). He also served as Director of the Joint Staff, advising senior national leadership while leading daily Joint Staff operations and serving as Joint Staff Inspector General. His joint leadership included key roles that shaped national-level strategy and responses to complex,time-sensitive challenges, including contributions to the 2018 National Defense Strategy and major defense posture reviews.
In addition to his strategic leadership, General VanHerck is a command pilot with more than 4,000 flying hours in the F-15C,F-35A, B-2A, and B-1B and holds an FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate, bringing an operator’s perspective to complex aviation and mission assurance challenges. He is the Principal at Glen VanHerck Advisors, LLC, and serves as a board director and strategic advisor across multiple industry sectors. He is also a Senior Fellow at the National Defense University and Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and also serves on the MITRE Air and Space Council.
