OAS Wins FAA Contract to Strengthen NAS Defense Infrastructure—Advancing the Foundation for Next Generation Air Traffic Services
December 23, 2025
Objective Area Solutions, LLC (OAS) has been awarded a contract by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to provide engineering and program support to the National Airspace System (NAS) Defense Programs (NDP) Resource Services Group. The work sustains mission‑critical radar facilities and related infrastructure that underpin U.S. airspace security and operational resilience.
By hardening surveillance infrastructure, standardizing technical oversight, and accelerating updates to site designs and configurations, this effort strengthens the foundational systems the FAA relies on today while positioning the NAS for future, more digital air traffic services.
“This award affirms OAS’s role as a hands‑on engineering partner to FAA programs that can’t afford downtime,” said J.J. Stakem, CEO. “Our systems engineering mindset and field‑proven teams will keep critical infrastructure reliable today and ready for tomorrow’s air traffic services.”
With this award, OAS continues its tradition of delivering reliable engineering solutions and technical expertise to federal partners. By supporting NAS Defense Programs initiative, OAS is helping to secure the nation’s airspace and laying the groundwork for the next generation of air traffic control and surveillance systems.
